AlexLazrOur state-of-the-art laser treats all sizes and colors for tattoo removal and pigmented lesions.
Today, cosmetic medical lasers designed for tattoo removal range from a single wavelength of light to a broad spectrum of light, all of which are intended to remove the ink in the tattoo without damaging the skin. Certain colors of light are absorbed by specific colors of the tattoo ink. The light energy vaporizes or fragments the ink particles. Your body then absorbs these ink fragments naturally and the color fades over the next couple of weeks. This laser tattoo removal treatment is very similar to treatment that has been done for years to treat birthmarks.
The laser emits very short flashes of light called pulses. Each pulse may produce discomfort similar to the snap of a rubber band against the skin. The laser uses light to disperse the pigment within the skin, permitting the body to reabsorb some of the pigment. Lasers are designed to produce light at very specific wavelengths. The tattoo pigment better absorbs the wavelength of light produced by the laser than the surrounding skin. The light absorption fades the tattoo pigment without injuring the surrounding skin.
Multiple treatments are required to remove a tattoo.
Treatment for spider veins, rosacea, port wine stains, birthmarks, scars, angiomas and hemangiomas.
The Vbeam® Pulsed Dye Laser(PDL) uses a beam of light at a specific wavelength and is used for conditions or spots on the skin which are made up of blood and blood vessels.
The following are best treated with PDL: spider veins on the face, changes of rosacea, port wine stains and some other birthmarks, small cherry angiomas on the body and some scars. We also use the PDL for some warts, acne treatment, and skin rejuvenation. This laser can be used for all ages and all skin types.
PDL is a safe and effective method of treating conditions related to blood vessels. The procedure is performed by Dr. Hochman. When the laser is applied to the skin, patients feel some stinging, similar in sensation to the snapping of a small rubber band against the skin. Most patients tolerate PDL.
PDL is a quick treatment, usually requiring only a few minutes, depending on the size of the treated area.
The number of PDL treatments varies depending on the lesion or condition being treated.
There is no specific care required after PDL. It is important to protect your skin from the sun using a sunblock with an SPF of 30 or higher every day as well as sun protective clothing.
Erbium skin rejuvenation improves the skin's overall appearance by refining texture and tone, reducing pore size, smoothing wrinkles, fading scars, decreasing diffuse redness, and stimulating collagen growth within the dermis. Results accumulate after each treatment and collagen production continues well after the last procedure.
Patients usually require 1 to 3 treatments for optimal results. Initial results are subtle, but over time you will notice a dramatic change in your skin's appearance.
